The Ford Bronco Returns for 2020 at Port Coquitlam’s Metro Motors
Before the SUV there was . . . the Ford Bronco! This legendary multi-purpose vehicle, M.I.A. since 1996, is coming back—with a vengeance!
What We Know
Built at Ford’s Michigan manufacturing plant, on the same platform as Ford’s overseas-only Everest platform, the yet unveiled 2020 Ford Bronco promises to wear retro styling that brings a modern feel while still paying homage to the original sport utility vehicle. Slotting in as a mid-size 4x4, the 2020 Bronco is rumoured to have removable roof panels—another nod to the older Bronco that Ford produced for thirty years starting in 1966.
What We Expect
The odds of Ford revisiting the V8 engine originally found in the Bronco are pretty slim, more likely we’ll find some variation of Ford’s turbocharged EcoBoost® engine. Perhaps the 2.3L version found in the new Ford Ranger, capable of producing 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft of torque, will help power the 2020 Bronco through whatever adventures you take it on—while maintaining excellent fuel economy.
If you’re as excited as we are about this new version of the Ford Bronco, then contact us at Port Coquitlam’s Metro Motors and we’ll keep you in the loop regarding the reimagining of this classic Ford sport utility vehicle.
